About Lee

Read about my experience at Utah Valley University, where I graduated cum laude with a Bachelor's of Fine Art in Illustration.

As of May 2010: Lee is an illustration student at UVU.  She is known on her driver's license as Alicia VanNoy Call.  She is known online as Elora Danen.  She got the name from Willow a bazillion years ago and she likes it.  Lee makes art every day.  She is forced to as an art student.  She started art school because someone she thought highly of told her, "You have so much raw talent you make me sick.  Go to  school."  Now she is in her third year of art school and she would rather sit down at her computer to work on a manuscript than sit down with her sketchbook.  But she still plugs away at that sketchbook.

 Lee draws things like this:

"Time in a Bottle"
by Alicia VanNoy Call
- ballpoint pen

And paints things like this:

And collages things like this:

"Paradise Lost"
by Alicia VanNoy Call
- magazines and stuff

And makes photos like this:

- Photomanipulation

Lee is considered average by some professors and above-average by others.
This is a long-standing joke between her and Kenna.
Average is one of Lee's favorite words to use lately.
Lee's mother thinks she is extraordinary.
Lee calls her mother to confirm this sometimes.
Lee's kids think she's famous.  She doesn't do anything to discourage this belief.
